A former Alexander teacher and basketball coach Javier Reyes was sentenced in criminal court and will not receiver any jail time. Reyes was arrested back in January on a sexual assault charge stimulating from a 2005 incident. The judgment is still in its processing phase according to the Williamson county district clerk’s office. But according to the plea deal that was signed last month by former Alexander teacher and basketball coach Javier Reyes, he will now be on a ten-year probation. On top of that, his plea deal says Reyes has to pay $2500 in fines, surrender his teaching license and register as a sex offender. Since the judgment will not be processed until later this week, Williamson county officials were unable to tell me when Reyes will have to register by. Reyes has another court date on October 29th for a separate charge in Wilson County.
