HEB Plus' Kristie shows us how to spice up your chicken salad just in time for the Fourth of July. It not only cuts calories, but it adds lots of flavor. Check out the recipe below.
BBQ Chicken Salad Prep Time: 30 minutes
1 rotisserie chicken, de-boned and diced ½ cup of plain greek yogurt 1 cup of Better than Good Texas Moppin’ Sauce 2 tbsp of Adams Val Verde BBQ rub 1/3 cup of diced celery ½ cup of sliced or slivered almonds
·Combine your plain greek yogurt, BBQ sauce, & 2 tbsp of val verde BBQ rub and mix until well incorporated. ·Combine celery, almonds and chicken in a medium sized bowl and slowly dress chicken with BBQ/Greek Yogurt mixture until well coated ·Chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes before serving.
