Just in time for the new school year, HEB's Healthy Cooking Connection offers us some healthy alternatives to the old favorite sandwich and mac & cheese lunch. HEB's Rick Vela shows us how to prepare a Roasted Turkey Panino and Green Chili Mac & Cheese.
Green Chili Mac & Cheese
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
-1lb of shell or elbow pasta
-1 & 1/2 cups of Cookwell & Company Green Chili Stew
-1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
-1 cup of shredded Monterrey jack cheese
-1/2 cup of milk
1. Cook your pasta according to package instructions. When cooked al dente strain and set aside.
2.In a small sauce pan simmer your green chili. Once hot, mix into your pasta until well combined.
3.Mix in your cheeses and milk and enjoy.
4.Enjoy with a Roasted Turkey Panini.
