If you were traveling in North Laredo on Wednesday chances are you ran into an interesting group headed down Del Mar.
At least one hundred riders taking part in that morning's Law Enforcement Trail Ride. The sound of horses marching down Del Mar and McPherson straight to Alexander crossing got the attention of people in businesses all along the road.
Organizers say the trail ride has been held each year for over two decades. The trail riders say they're glad for today's great weather.
George Jimenez, with the Webb County Trail Riders, says, ”Its nice and cool yes it is. This will be the 27th year and will be for law enforcement and veteran.”
The trail ride included members of local law enforcement and their families as well as people just wanting to pay tribute to those who put their lives on the line each day.
