The trial of a man accused of sexual abuse against a young girl results in a hung jury this afternoon.
The court heard the closing statements for the case of 36-year old Jesus Hernandez - Escudero earlier today.
He was accused of sexually assaulting a young girl in her room all while family members were at home.
The 12- year old victim described what happened to her that day on April of 2011.
The trial was expected to end earlier this week, but the state continued calling more witnesses to the stand.
Escudero faced one count of aggravated sexual assault.
