Illegal immigrants rescued

A call to police leads to the rescue of two illegal immigrants after escaping from their smuggler.
Arrested is 37-year-old Hector Zambrano.
According to reports, police received a call at around 2:30 Monday morning to the 4100 block of Marcy Loop in South Laredo.
The victims said they were two immigrants had been held against their will.
As it turns out, the immigrants had paid smugglers to take them all the way up to Houston. They had paid $1,500 in Laredo, with the intent of paying another $1,500 each when they arrived to their destination.
Apparently, the smugglers wanted the entire amount right away.
The two immigrants were able to escape and called police.
Police went to the home and found Zambrano there.
He was arrested for unlawful restraint.
