It's one of the biggest health concerns in America right now, even more so along the border: juvenile diabetes and the fight to eradicate it is in full swing.
This was the kick-off drive for the JDRF Annual Hope Gala Monday night at Hal's Landing.
Funds raised at the upcoming event are earmarked for education and research.
In the past years, the event has included some amazing entertainment, and this year is no different.
At this year's gala you'll be able to see and hear the mesmerizing and dazzling talents of The Australian Bee Gees Show.
The big event will take place on November 9th at the Laredo Country Club.
It includes dinner, raffle, live auction and the Fund-A-Cure Program.
Richard Raymond, his wife Michelle, and their son, Aaron, recently diagnosed with Type-One Diabetes, have all been chosen as this year's host family.
