Jury selection is underway in the 341st District Court in connection to a murder case that occurred two years ago. 23-year-old Fernando Rodriguez Jr. faces charges of murder and engaging in criminal activity. He is one of five men accused in the murder of Jose Gonzalez back on January 30, 2011. Gonzalez was gunned down and killed in broad daylight in a south Laredo neighborhood. The incident happened in the 3100 block of Louisiana Street. The suspects fled the scene and crashed their vehicle at the intersection of San Luis and Louisiana, hitting another vehicle. The trial is expected to start the morning of February 11th in the 341st district court.
