It's a growing trend across the border in our sister city of Nuevo Laredo: Every-day people fed up with crime finally standing up and doing something to take back their streets.
Employees at the Oxxo convenience store jump on a would-be robber and holding him down.
At one point, one worker holds his legs and the other holds his hands down on the floor.
They had to wrestle him for a while.
It took Mexican soldiers about an hour to arrive.
There have been stories of civilians taking matters into their own hands, mostly due to a lack of police force in Nuevo Laredo and much of the law enforcement responsibilities falling on members of the Mexican military.
