Students of the Laredo ISD gifted and talented program were out at a water treatment facility on Shiloh road this morning.
The trip was part of the GT Summer Program held to give students an opportunity to explore their community.
About 40 students took part in today's trip to the treatment facility where they learned about how water is treated before being put back.

“We're just trying to provide them with as much enrichment as we can. Gifted students want to learn as much as possible they want to get those questions answered.”
The students have also taken other trips to places like Pet-land where they learned about animals. Several activities are planned for the kids each summer.
