Well it's Labor Day Weekend, when many people are choosing to travel out of the city.
If you think doing that it's coming at a high price, your not alone.
Prices at the pump here and throughout the nation are climbing in some places to record highs.
Americans are faced with the highest gas prices we have seen for Labor Day Weekend.
Gas prices have jumped 10 cents in a week and 30 cents in a month.
So why the sudden jump?
Hurricane Issac is getting much of the blame causing gas companies to shut down during the storm.
Although the gas prices in Laredo are high it's still well below the national average which is $3.83 a gallon.
The good news is the gas prices should go down after the holiday and if you would like to track the gas prices you can always go to gasbuddy.com
