Laredo City Council approves new portable basketball court

With the Nuevo Laredo Toros playing half of their games in the Laredo Energy Arena, the City Council has approved a new portable basketball court.

City Manager Carlos Villarreal says this basketball court is not being bought for one particular team; instead they hope to host lots of professional events.

The basketball court costs about $100,000 and funds are available through the Sports Venue Fund.
