A man from Laredo has been hired as the top cop in the small town of Sullivan City. According to "The Monitor," 49-year-old Juan Alejandro has been hired to head the nine officer police department of Sullivan. The city has a population of 5,000 people. His starting salary will reportedly be $38,000, up from $35,000 initially offered. According to the publication, city officials have searched for a police chief since about a year ago, following the dismissal of Jose Anaya, who was fired after eight months on the job for quote "unprofessional behavior."
