Students attending sandy hook elementary may have noticed some familiar items when they entered their new campus this morning. Teachers brought in old desks, backpacks and other items that were left behind on that tragic December day. "I think that's great. it will help the kids get used to reality and continuity. It will give them a sense of security and belonging because I think they left backpacks and everything in there." But not everyone we talked to thinks it's a good idea to have those memories in their new environment. "I think they should make it totally different because those poor kids, they're afraid." Something different for some kids were their parents who attended classes with them to make sure the they felt safe. "I think it will. I think the kids need their parents and need a lot of counseling." The only positive thing this Laredoan says came out of this tragedy is how the country came together to mourn with the families of victims. "It's a nightmare and the nightmare that kids will have to live with forever. It's something you cannot forget."
