About 25 thousand Webb County residents have already cast their ballots during early voting. Today was the last day for early voting and residents were out in full force trying to have their voice heard. Across Texas, today is the last day to vote early for next Tuesday's eneral election and something surprising is happening at the polls. A line is whipping across all the way to the end of the lobby at the providence health center voting site. Something a lot of voters didn't expect. Rebecca Lara," I'm actually surprised that theres a lot of people here I didn't expect for the city to come together like this, at least this side of town to vote. we've had a lot of problems back in the years where not everyone comes out here and shows that they want this and I hope the other areas are this packed." Elections Office Officials said the other sites had a busy day as well, but providence was the one with significant turn out. The long lines didn't seem to bother any of the voters. Voter Gloria Ruiz-Nohra said,"it took a little bit longer than expected apparently they ran out of ballots for a minute there, but once the ballots where in it was moving smoothly." Tony Gutierrez says, "I didn't expect it to be this long but it's okay we can wait." Long voter turn out also meant less spaces to park. Missy Garza said, we actually went around six times. Orlando Garza asked, “how long did that take?” Missy Garza said, “about 15 minutes." Tony Gutierrez said,"finding parking was a little bit difficult but it's worth the while." A while this mother is taking out of her day to teach her child a lesson. Missy Garza said, "actually we were off to the movies but since I'm such a good mom I demonstrated how important it is to vote so I told him we can go to the movies after this its so worth it." Most people hate waiting in line but today a sense of patriotism filled health center lobby. "I'm real proud theres a lot of people here that want to get there voice out."
