Home-surveillance helps capture a man in the causing damage to some vehicle early this morning. Near the intersection of McPherson and Amistad a report was filed after the windows of a vehicle were smashed in.
Home surveillance captured the man at fault who was driving a privately owned water truck. The water truck passed by while the investigator was still on the scene that's when a chase ensued.
The chase ended when the water truck was driven into the Zacate Linear Creek but the suspect still made a dash for it.
Thirty five year old Gerardo Lopez junior was eventual caught at the 4 hundred block of Bustamante and has been arrested for evading arrest using a motor vehicle and also fleeing on foot.
