A man is arrested after allegedly assaulting his own father and the elderly man says it's not the first time.
Daniel Monicivais was arrested and charged with a felony count of injury to an elderly with bodily injury.
He was taken to the Webb County Jail under no bond.
Police were called to his residence on Montgomery, where the two men were in an argument after Monicivais accused his father of taking his belongings.
As the two argued, the elder Monicivais says his son assaulted him with a bag full of items. Police were able to see visual marks from the assault when they arrived.
The elder Monicivais grabbed a knife to defend himself and told police he feared his son would injure him further, since his son had assaulted him on previous occasions.
