Man attacks son's mother with car

A man is arrested for attacking the mother of his child with his car while the boy was in the vehicle at the time.
Javier Ortega is accused of an attack that happened back on Halloween night in 2012, when he came across a car with two women along Highway 359, one of whom is the mother of his child.
According to police, he tried to ram them off the road; at one point, he pulled up ahead of their car and stomped on his brakes. All of this happened while he had his three-year-old son, unrestrained in the front seat of the car.
Ortega was arrested at his home in Alta Mar Street.
He's charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, being his vehicle, and endangering a child.
