It was an exciting day for golfers across all of south Texas as the Max Mendal golf course officially unveiled their clubhouse this morning. This was the one missing piece in having the facility 100% open for business at the course that sits along the banks of the Rio Grande. The mayor and city council members were joined by hall of fame golf legend Nancy Lopez for the ribbon cutting. Lopez was extremely impressed with the course, calling it one of a kind for the public to play. The par 72 course sits on 270 acres just north of the city along Mines Rd.
