A local girl is now in Connecticut after winning the contest of a life-time.
The contest was sponsored by the 'Sharpie' brand and gave a lucky winner a chance to go see one of the hottest bands live in concert.
One Direction is one of the httest bands out there. And this group of Laredo fans just won a chance to see them live in concert.
It's all thanks to Jessica Urbina who entered her name in a contest held by Sharpie.
Out of all the entries nationwide, her name was drawn.
“It's really exciting. I still cant believe it.”
Her close friends were pretty shocked too. The winner was told to bring some of her friends along for the ride.
“It's an amazing feeling. i was so excited when my friend told me she won.”
The girls loaded up their luggage Friday morning for a trip on a private jet to Connecticut.
“I've never been out of the state. it will be my first time and first time on a jet.”
Jessica took a total of six friends with her, plus her mom and two other adult chaperons.
Many of the girls say this was their first time out of state.
They're coming back tomorrow, so its a short trip but say it's one they'll never forget.
