Get to know beautiful historic downtown Laredo! St. Peter's Historic Neighborhood & TAMIU SIFE's 'Bazaar' have teamed up to create the first 'Portico Street Festival' taking place Saturday, June 23 from 5-9PM. The festival spans Matamoros Street from Main to Vidaurri.
Show up a little early for the free wrestling match between the Laredo Wrestling Alliance's wrestlers from 4-6PM at St. Peter's Plaza.
There will be great food, handmade goods, crafts and art for sale, while music fills the air. They will also be offering architectural walking tours, a free car exhibition show by the 'Outsiders Car Club', even the Paranormal Research Society will be making a special presentation. Children could hop on the duck train for kiddie rides, watch the balloon animal demonstration by Zamorinas Payasitas, or paint the town red with painting activities hosted by the Ramos Family.
