The Laredo Community College is focusing on student success and helping students achieve their academic goals through their F.O.S.S. summer program. Participants could even earn a $200 stipend and laptop.
The program is offered to recent high school graduates looking to transition between high school and college. During the summer, the free two-week program that runs August 5-15 will help students enhance their writing, math, time-management, and test-taking skills. It will also focus on helping them build helpful study habits. Students will also learn how to transition from Laredo Community College to Texas A&M International University.
The program is open to current and incoming LCC students and will be held at the Fort McIntosh Campus. It also is offered at no cost to the student, and upon completion, participants may be eligible to receive a $200 stipend and a laptop computer.
Space is limited, so applicants are urged to apply as soon as possible.
Applications are available online at www.laredo.edu/FOSS or you can visit the LCC Financial Aid Center in P-24 or the F.O.S.S. Center in the Lewis Energy Group Academic Center, room 207, at the Fort McIntosh Campus.
