Police are calling it a major drug bust, possibly one of the largest of its kind seen in a long time here in the gateway city. Our Lauren Kendrick has more in our top story tonight at 10. The Laredo narcotics division discovered there was a house in south Laredo where people were selling crack cocaine. After a month long investigation, they raided the home and discovered a large of amount of the street drug. "From that investigation, they were able to obtain a search warrant and today we did a raid and we found 883 hits of crack cocaine." Narcotics officers say this bust is one of the largest busts they've made in Laredo. "This is our largest bust of street level sales someone is selling out of their home crack cocaine." Sifuentes says this is a big concern they will now have to be on the lookout for. "We're not used to seeing crack cocaine here in Laredo, but apparently there's been an influx in the last few months." A narcotics officer says this is especially a concern because this drug is being sold near a school. Officer Lucky says they're used to seeing drugs being brought over from Mexico but this drug is something they were hoping would never make it to Laredo. "We're finding harder drugs. It used to just be marijuana. Crack cocaine is one of the worst things you can do."
