It's official summer is over or at least it is for public school students and their parents.
After a little over two months public school students will now begin waking up early.
This was the scene this morning out at Ryan Elementary.
Police and other law enforcement officers were there patrolling the streets and ensuring the safety of all students and parents as they walked to school.
About 67,000 public school children from LISD and UISD are back in class as of this week.
