Oktoberfest organizers are gearing up for their huge event taking place at the end of the month. A preview of the upcoming event was held Wednesday with the unveiling of shock top's end of the world beer. It's an alcoholic beverage still not available in stores. Proceeds from Oktoberfest benefit South Texas Academic Rising Scholars.
David Vasquez, the event organizer, said, "We are excited to invite Laredo to the first ever Oktoberfest it's the biggest festival in south Texas we are boasting over 200 beers its gonna be a great to me for everyone 21 and up."
Admission to Oktoberfest is either a VIP ticket, sample ticket or designated driver ticket. Pre-sale tickets to the event are available at Mike's Western Wear, TDK, inside Mall Del Norte, or their website at borderbeerfest.com.
