A young man is hospitalized in critical condition after a late night accident near a south Laredo neighborhood.
It happened on Bencha road at about one in the morning.
That's where police say the driver of a Nissan Altima failed to yield before heading south bound on Pinos Circle causing a collision with Chevy Pickup.
The accident reportedly causing severe head and kidney injuries to the man behind the wheel of that Altima.
He is 22-year-old Herman Benavides.
Paramedics rushed Benavides to Laredo Medical Center, but he has now been flown to a San Antonio Hospital.
The driver of the Chevy 24-year-old Louis Alberto morales.
Blood samples were taken from both drivers.
