It’s a story you found out about first on eight: The Laredo Police Department says they are investigating the recent Mud Run fundraiser event.
This comes after Councilman Charlie San Miguel acknowledged that he took the money home after the event.
The Director for Parks and Leisure was suspended as a result of that.
You may recall San Miguel spoke to us first about the incident involving taking home the money earlier this week.
San Miguel will be holding a press conference on Monday where he says he will address the issue saying he's made a decision that is "good for my family.”
