The frenzy for lotto tickets is on in Laredo.
People all hoping to buy that winning ticket.
Our Annette Garcia was out at a local corner store getting in on the excitement.
Clerks at this Valero gas station had their work cut out for them just hours before the big Powerball drawing.
“They're buying left and right.”
The jackpot --- half a billion dollars.
Who wouldn't want a piece of it all.
“Good luck mam hopefully you win. thank you can right here are the lucky numbers.”
We'll a girl can dream cant she?
And it turns out I'm not the only one with high hopes.
“It is the winning tickets.”
Laredoans are already making plans on how to spend the cash.
“Pay my school my brothers school and just chill that’s what I’m gona do.”
This man says he plays lotto every chance he gets, so it's about time he wins something.
“I just hope I don’t get a heart attack when I win it.”
And he has some advice for the others who may be sharing the win with him.
“You have to have your feet on the floor and know what you’re going to do with the money.”
