"How can you leave your child in the car? They can suffocate or open the door and walk away."
This mother of five says she can't imagine leaving an innocent child in an unattended vehicle, especially in the heat we experience in Laredo. She says for those questioning whether or not to leave the child in the car while running an errand, the answer is easy.
"The best solution is to take the kids with you."
As part of the mortality awareness month event, life meter thermometers were given out. It goes inside of the car to show the temperature inside the car.
"These thermometers will show parents just how dangerous it is to leave your child in the car."
If you're in a hurry, look for someone you trust. Leave your kids with that person instead of leaving your kids in the car."
Ramos says she sometimes gets overwhelmed with keeping track of her kids, but would never be so careless to leave her kids because they're the ones that truly end up suffering.
"People that do that need to learn how to prevent incidents like that.
