A world famous author visits Laredo. Marina Nemet, author of Prisoner of Tehran, spoke to a packed crowd at the Laredo Public Library. In her memoir, she writes about her days living in Iran during the brutal Islamic Revolution and says living on the border isn't much different. Marina Nemet commented, "We need to realize that this doesn't matter if you speak Spanish or speak Farsi, here in Laredo, or Shiraz, a lot of our problems are reasons that lead to those problems."
