Santa Claus Arrives To Laredo
Today was the day where we here at KGNS anticipated Santa Claus's arrival; apart from our excitement the children had an even better time waiting for Old Saint Nick.
Children were excited with anticipation as jolly Old Saint Nick was making his way to the Gate Way City.
The kids lined up hours ahead of time for a chance to meet Old Saint Nick.
Orlando Garza: “Are you excited to see Santa?” Boy: “yes!” Orlando Garza:”Why?” boy: “because he brings presents on Christmas Eve."
Before he can receive children's wish lists, your good neighbor station was out joyfully awaiting for Big Reds grand entrance going live at Mall Del Norte for the five and six o'clock newscast.
Most of the kids were more interested in what they were going to ask Santa this Christmas.
"I want to get a prize...yea an electrical scooter, I wish for a baseball soccer...a lot of stuff. What are you going to ask Santa for? girl: a backpack I don't know."
Finally, jolly Old Saint Nick made his way through the sea of adoring children and parents, stopping with Tim and Ann before he spoke with us.
"May I have your first and last name? ho ho ho that is so funny everybody knows me I'm Santa Claus!"
Big Red was happy to finally be in town.
Santa said,"every year I comeback it's amazing how the kids the surprise in their eyes the image of Santa Clause to them is like something out of this world and to be true I feel out of this world."
At least for now he sits on his big green chair taking lists and checking them twice.
Santa Claus will be here all the way to Christmas Eve for KGNS News I'm Orlando Garza and that coverage you can count on
