Maria Gonzalez and Guadalupe Elizondo are just two of the Rio Bravo residents that are fed up with problems. Some residents spotted a sewage leak that was flowing into the Rio Grande. "It's polluting the already polluted river that we have. It's just adding to the problem." According to residents, the leak was flowing into the river all day Saturday as well as Sunday morning before it was fixed. But when we out there Monday, the leak was happening again. "I really don't know what to think. It's just overwhelming to see all these problems going on right now. I wish someone would tell us how this problem is going to be fixed." Besides the inconvenience, residents are mostly concerned about their health, of not only theirs, but also their families. "We shouldn't have these kinds of services. We are paying a lot of money for the services and we should get good service. Our main concern is our health." Residents are hoping they can get answers to their sewage leak problems soon. The Webb county engineering officials did not want to come out on camera to discuss the problems. They said the problem has been reported to the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality. We are still waiting to get confirmation of that from TCEQ.
