We have now received a copy of the TCEQ investigation report which documented the discrepancies of the water treatment plant in Rio Bravo, causing two towns to boil their drinking water. 26 violations were reported County Commissioner Mike Montemayor says more than half of the violations have been fixed and the treatment plant has complied with all TCEQ requirements. The commissioner was astonished by the results of the investigation saying ,“"I was really caught off guard by how many violations there were but as soon as they come out we had already fixed more than half, more than 3 quarters of that have been taken care of." Rio Bravo and El Cenizo combined serves an estimated 6-thousand 6-hundred people. Organizations in Rio Bravo and El Cenizo are asking to be reimbursed for the weeks they were on a water boil notice. The commissioner added an item to this weeks meeting to adjust the water bill for the residents.
