With the new year also comes tax season, and it's never to early to get your documents in order.
Saturday at the Goodwill center, volunteers for VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) were busy preparing for the start of the season coming up soon.
Although it's not yet time to go and file your income tax return, there are a few things you need to make sure you have before you go. The Assistant Director of the Azteca Economic Development Center, Esperanza Sauceda, says "we need your ID, and any forms, and interest statements, or anything that has any withholding, or any forms issued for IRS purposes."
VITA will be offering free tax preparation for those who earn $50,000 or less, starting on Wednesday January the 30th. If you have other questions for VITA, you can contact their offices at 726-4462.
