A tenant at a Laredo duplex says after never missing a month of payment to her home she is being evicted. She spoke to our own Orlando Garza who has more in our top story The tenant at the north side home says she is experiencing a wrongful eviction and has asked for our help. Jasso says she thought she was a great tenant up until her landlord slapped an eviction notice on her door. She is facing eviction although she says she has never missed a month of payment. She says after being let go from her job money got tight but she made arrangements to pay bi-weekly but now things have changed. "requesting repairs that are needed they don't get done, we are being told that we aren't paying the rent like we should. We have to be patient for them to do the repairs, if we would pay like we should then maybe repairs will be taken care of." She says things began to go sour when she asked her landlord to fix things. Like a leaky roof outside and flickering lights inside; her biggest problem is in the bathroom. "The bathroom vents, we reported them back in 2011 they didn't change them because the owner claimed that they no longer exist." She has resorted to using to “damp rid bags” that capture moisture in her bathroom. We contacted the land lords whom declined to be on camera but say they feel they have been fair and wish only to part ways because Jasso is continuously late on her rent. "we're gonna move out I mean theres no question about that we didn't stay here cause we wanted to cause problems but being asked to move out in three days is not right." Jasso and her landlord will appear in court on January 30, to finally resolve their dispute.
