It’s an update to a story you saw first, right here on KGNS news, of an American man attacked in Nuevo Laredo. KGNS obtained the interview of the victim who talks about what happened the night they allegedly arrested him and beat him. The victim is 25-year-old Daniel Escobar from Austin who was visiting Nuevo Laredo with a female friend from Laredo. He says him and his friends were coming out from a bar when allegedly federal police arrested him then took him to an abandoned building on the outskirts of the city and started to beat him up, causing major injuries throughout his body. A resident passed by the abandoned construction site, saw him and immediately called for help. Meanwhile, federal police have yet to comment on the situation as the investigation continues.
