Twelve undocumented immigrants are rescued from a hot 18-wheeler.
It happened at the Hebbronville checkpoint.
After being tipped off by a canine, Border Patrol agents opened the top of a grain hauling trailer and removed a tarp. They discovered 12 subjects, who were sweating profusely, seated on plywood within the grain hopper with no ventilation
Border Patrol emergency medical technicians were immediately dispatched to the location.
One person was then transported to the hospital.
The driver of the truck, a 57-year-old man from Alabama was arrested.
Among the undocumented immigrants were ten Mexicans, one Salvadoran and one Guatemalan.
