Three border patrol agents were patrolling our rivers by boat when something unexpected happened.
According to officials, their boat was near the Columbia bridge when they were nearing a split in the river.
When the agents noticed tree branches, they tried to steer away but didn't get out of the way in time.
Two of the agents were struck and ejected into the river.
The third agent then contacted other agents patrolling the river for assistance in getting them to safety.
The two agents that were ejected were taken to the hospital.
One had lacerations to his leg and face. The second agent suffered from an arm injury.
