Two Plead Guilty in Attempting to Smuggle Ammunition

Two men plead guilty to attempting to smuggle ammunition into Mexico.
Teodoro Sanchez-Alejo, 33, and Alejandro Rivera-Ruiz, 37, have been convicted of attempting to illegally smuggle a total of 300 assault rifle magazines into Mexico.
Homeland security investigators set up a sting and the undercover agents contacted Sanchez. He delivered six duffel bags containing the rifle magazines.
Rivera is accused of delivering two boxes containing 50 high capacity assault rifle magazines.
Both men have been in custody since their arrests and face up to 10 years in prison and a $250 fine.
