The UT Health Science Center held a free workshop this morning for people wanting to learn more about cancer prevention and early detection.
The workshop was offered in collaboration with several community partners and even offered free screenings. Presentations on prostate and breast cancer were given by physician researchers of UT Medicine San Antonio one of who is an internationally known expert on prostate cancer and the other who is an accomplished surgeon. The goal was to bring awareness to several types of cancer and what can be done to prevent the diseases.
