Voz De Niños has two new CASA volunteers to be proud of. The new volunteers were sworn in this morning. Fernando Rodriguez and Fernando Palacios are the first male volunteers for the program which advocates for children in foster care.
There are about 500 kids in foster care in our area. Voz De Niños Works to make sure each child has a voice with the help of the volunteers.
Officials say the new volunteers will play a big role in the lives of many children

“The children the program serves are children in foster care and more than likely they've never had a positive male role model whether it because a single parent household or perhaps the abuser was a male figure in their lives.”
Voz De Niños currently has 18 CASA volunteers but officials says hundreds more are needed.
Voz De Niños would need 300 volunteers to make sure each foster child was covered and got the attention he or she deserves.
