The all-district awards are out for district 29-5A volleyball and it features a number of UISD athletes. Most valuabel player though was not from Laredo, as that honor goes to Aiden Garcia of Eagle Pass. United's Leah Teniente is co-libero of the year, while Ali Sanchez and Diana Scott were named outstanding outside hitters. Most outstanding setter goes to Stephanie Ramos of Alexander with teammate Sam Gonzalez as the outstanding blocker and Kathleen Hopson as co-newcomer of the year. Four other Laredo ladies made the all-district first team.
