A viewer captures a rare sighting on a Laredo street. It shows an airplane being hauled off from the airport traveling on Jacaman Road at around 1:30pm Friday. That plane is part of an exciting new project happening right here in Laredo. A local couple recently purchased that plane and is planning to renovate it and open it as a restaurant. Operations manager, George Dominguez, says “It’s something Laredo has never seen, and we want to be part of that group where we're bringing something to Laredo, something different so we have something to do, somewhere to take the family.”
They hope to have the restaurant up and running in a year. The location is being kept a secret, but they did tell us they will serve American food.
