Arrest Leads to Potential Pharmacy Break-In Suspect

A man arrested for burglary may be behind a series of local pharmacy break-ins.
Police had been investigating thefts from local pharmacies from as far back as June of this year. More than $48,000 in pharmaceuticals were stolen in a burglary at Lakeside Pharmacy.
Alexander Ivan Villarreal was arrested in the 3500 block of Jaime Zapata Highway after police responded to an alarm that went off in the area, He was found with several items reportedly stolen from pharmacies, as well as several printouts from Google Maps showing several medicine shops across Laredo.
Villarreal is now a person-of-interest in the Lakeside Pharmacy break-in.
