In high school powerlifting, three Laredo girls competed in states Saturday morning.
The meet took place in Corpus Christi.
Cigarroa's Yesenia Carrera, Olga Coreas and United South's Kassandra Leal all earned a spot to compete.
Yesenia Carrera came out on top in her weight class, winning first place in states.
This is Carreras third year winning the state title in her weight class.
Congratulations to Carerra on all her accomplishments.
Also competing from Cigarroa was Olga Coreas who came in ninth in her weight class.
South's Kassandra Leal won eighth in state in her weight class.
