Customs Seizes 32 Pounds of Heroin
U.S Customs and Border Protection seize a combined total of 32 pounds of heroin in two separate cases.
The total value equals over a million dollars.
The first incident occurred Saturday at bridge one.
A 22-year-old man from Illinois was sent to secondary inspection with his vehicle.
That’s where the agents found 19 packages of heroin.
The second seizure happened the same day at the same bridge. A 33-year-old man also from Illinois, was trying to enter the U.S. driving an SUV.
Agents sent him to a secondary inspection, and found six packages of heroin within the SUV.
The two drivers were arrested and turned over to homeland security investigations.
