Cardiovascular disease kills more Laredo women than breast and cervical cancer.
Laredo women seeking to end that statistic are starting with the most important meal of the day. The City of Laredo Health Department hosted a breakfast encouraging women to make nutritious choices for better health. The breakfast is part of the City's Heart Health month campaign, Laredo Goes Red for Women.
Heart health month educational events continue every Friday in February. Women will learn CPR on February 22, 2013. All events are located at the City of Laredo Health Department at 2600 Cedar Avenue.
