Over 1,000 participated last year and officials are expecting it to drastically increase this year.
This year's Mud Run will take place at North Central Park on Saturday, May 4.
"I just need to just warn everybody it's a tough course, it's not for the weak, no cry babies. So get all your tough crews together and come out. As far as the teams are concerned, the top 5 will represent that team so they can be on a team and not worry about the time effecting the whole team," says council member Charlie San Miguel.
So start getting your teams ready if you want to win a trophy.
There will also be trophies based on individual times.
The City of Laredo will be opening registration on their website for the event in a few days.
The course will have more difficult obstacles this year and will be 3.1 miles in length so make sure you come prepared.
