A group of students from LBJ High School held a proclamation for teen dating violence awareness.
Members of the police department., sheriff's department and Casa De Misercordia were also in attendance.
The students presented shocking statistics about teen dating violence such as one in three teens experience some kind of abuse in their romantic relationships.
Jorge Mata\LBJ SENIOR "Now-a-days, it is. It's been seen more and more, but they don't speak out. If they don't speak out, none of this will be brought out to the community to tell them what's going on."
The month of February will serve as teen dating violence awareness month.
