A new orgainization in Laredo is trying to make in impact for underprivileged women and children.
They are called the Society of Renaissance Women's Club. They started last September. but today they had their official kick off tea party at the Country Club.
They say their goal is to provide the community of Laredo with support, service and charity focusing on the underprivileged and youth oriented activities.
The plan to hold a French Renaissance themed ball in October where they will present scholorships to students.
